Description

• Imitate cracked layers of varnish on old items by applying this classic crackle varnish system, which becomes waterproof after drying, to create a layer of surface cracks.
• Apply the component 1/2 to the surface of the object already decorated, once dry apply the component 2/2. The second varnish layer will crack as it dries, to emphasize the cracks, rub various non-water-based coloring materials ( e.g. Pentart Liquid Patina, Pentart Antique Paste or Pentart Metallic Wax Paste) onto the surface
• The pattern of cracks depends on the direction of the brush strokes and the thickness of the two layers of varnish applied.
